Important Upcoming Dates
First View App (Bussing)Please note that all bus routes, pick-up times, and drop-off times are managed entirely by the transportation provider. The school does not have control over route changes, delays, or real-time bus locations. For this reason, we are unable to provide immediate updates when buses run late. To stay informed, it is essential that all families use the FirstView bus tracking app. This app allows you to:
If you have not yet downloaded the FirstView app, please do so as soon as possible. Instructions for creating an account and connecting to your child’s route are available on the app’s website, through the district’s transportation office and just below this paragraph. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work together to ensure a safe and efficient transportation experience for all students. If you have questions about routes or delays, please contact the transportation provider directly. Thank you for your continued support. How to Get Started:
FirstView also offers multilingual support and a user-friendly help section to assist with any setup or usage questions. Need Help? If you have questions or need help setting up the app, please contact:
Attendance It is important that you call the school if your child is going to be absent or arriving late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-777-7430 ext.1.
Please make sure to spell the student’s last name and include the date of the absence in the message.

School Parking lot is off limits
Please do not enter, stop, or park in the parking lot during the school day.
Given that there are no parking stalls available for public use and given that dropping off students in the parking lot is prohibited (and extremely unsafe), there is no reason for any parent/guests to be driving in the school parking lot, before, during and after school.
Bus zones, Handicap Parking zones and the school parking lot should not be used at anytime for dropping off or picking up students. This is in accordance with CBE policy to ensure the safety of all students.
If you are parking on the other side of the street, please insist that your children use the crosswalks, and not jay walk. Parents and students jaywalking between buses is extremely problematic, and we ask that parents/students obey the law and not jaywalk. Pedestrians should cross the street at corners and crosswalks only.
School Bus Zone
We would like to remind all parents that the bus loading/unloading zone in front of our school is designated for our school buses only. The bus drivers must be able to bring their bus close to the curb in order to safely drop-off and pick-up our students. This becomes very difficult and unsafe when there are parent vehicles parked in this area. We ask that if you must leave your vehicle parked for a short time, to use the parking areas across the street. We have 7 busses this year, and they require all the space in the bus zone…right up to the crosswalk! Thank you for your help in keeping our bus zone a safe area.

Dear Parents and Families:
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is almost here.
Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
This is Wilma’s main fundraising source for new books in our Learning Commons—the more books we sell at the fair, the more new books your students will have access to. They will get to have their own book(s) plus, if the sale is successful, access to many more in the Learning Commons.
This is also a great opportunity to pick up books to gift during the upcoming holiday season.
Here’s what you need to know about the Fair: · Our bookfair homepage: https://bookfairs.scholastic.ca/bf/wilmahansenjrhigh2
· Runs Dec. 2nd -5th in our Learning Commons.
· Plan to attend the fair yourself Tuesday-Thursday, 9am-2pm.
· Please support this fundraiser by sending cash with your children so that they can make their own purchases if you cannot come.
Browse the digital flyers and book trailers online:

Hope to catch you at the Fair!
